Information for New Students
Students will learn:
Website Development
Beginning, intermediate and advanced website development skills. Learn how to create professional looking websites by hand (no Dreamweaver). Use HTML and Cascading Style Sheets(CSS)to create a clean easy to maintain website. Add dynamic elements such as random pictures, countdown clocks and photo galleries using JavaScript. Create private logins and "members only" areas using PHP and MySQL.

Computer Programming
Students create projects using Visual Basic.Net and use Visual Basic for Applications to create begining programs. Students learn computer game design, strategies and create their own computer games using editors as well as coding by hand.

Databases
Students will learn the how to use Sturctured Query Language to crete databases and insert/retrieve data from SQL databases using MySQL and Oracle. Students use MySQL with PHP to create E-commerce website functions. Students will gain working knowledge of Microsoft Access.

Can I visit class?
Yes, there are several ways you can visit. Come to our Open House, Wednesday November 29,2006 -Tell your school counselor you would like to come during our class visits. Class visits are held in February
What is the class environment like?
CACC takes place either your morning or afternoon. Its classes run from 8:00am to 10:40am and its afternoon classes run from 11:35am to 2:15pm. CACC provides some hands on with your future career. This hand's on learning builds some much needed experience and can help many in deciding whether or not to go into a certain field or do another. We can accommodate you.
How big are the Classes?
Classes usally hover under twelve people at a time. This means alot of one on one time creating a better learning environment for a person. Plus, the small class size makes learning easier, as well as working.
What about Credits?
This class gives three credits, including half a math credit as well. These can also be transfered to LCC if you plan to attend. Students who take this class one year, may earn 9 LCC credits. Students who take this two years, earn 16 credits.
Code! Thats hard, right?
Not at all chap! Coding takes time and patience, so it may take a little bit to learn, but in all coding becomes easier as you move along. Codes are used in every electronic application, such as websites, programs, and games.

How do I join CACC???
Talk to your school counselor and ask for any info regarding the CACC. CACC staff will sometmes visit schools for register info, so go to their presentation to find out more. Here you can decide which program is right for you.
